07.10.23 - Cheeky Mid-Wales Tour
339 miles
10:15 ride time
There is very little narrative in this blog, as it wasn't completed at the time, so difficult to remember the detail.
We stopped at a charming little road side cafe for lunch and a pint along the way obviously, The Kabin Cafe in Kinlet, Bewdley and then a pint in The Crown Inn, Hallow, just north of Worcester.
We stayed at The Glen-yr-afon in Usk, but don't seem to have any photo's for some bizarre reason!
We do recall the roads from the south, leaving from Usk, through the Elan Valley and over to Aberystwyth being absolutely brilliant! The A4042 up to Abergavenny and the A470 Turing left at LLanwrthl. We headed on a country road to the Elan Valley.
This was in the Elan Valley. We rode all the way around and turning left on to the National Cycle Route - 81...
Finished off from Aberyswyth, riding through the Mach Loop and home via Bala!
